This workshop will be an introduction to the Golden Eight-Petalled Lotus of Asian Medicine. The Eight Petals represent the areas of one’s life that are studied and the methods that are practiced for cultivating health and preventing disease. The Eight Petals are presented in an ideal hierarchy showing exactly what is to be practiced for optimal health in mind and body. Lama Losang will present the Eight Petals and offer advice on how to carry them out in everyday life.

T’ai Chi beginner class with David Bole returns April 25th at 5:30-6:30pm at the Traditional Acupuncture Center.

The cost is $100 for the 10 session Beginning series (B-1) if paid in advance at registration or $12 if paid per class over the 10 week period.

T’ai Chi is an ancient Chinese system of exercise that is both a martial art and meditative discipline. It is used to strengthen the body and quiet the mind and balances the energy of the body with its slow and graceful movements, increasing awareness and improving health. It is practiced worldwide by people of all ages for health and longevity and can:

David Bole has been teaching T’ai Chi for over 30 years and is also a Tibetan Buddhist Lama and meditation teacher.

DR. DAVID BOLE (LAMA LOSANG) is currently director of the Traditional Acupuncture Center, a holistic healthcare facility in Gainesville, FL, and the resident teaching Lama for the Gainesville Karma Thegsum Chöling, Tibetan Buddhist meditation center, under the guidance of Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche, abbot of Karma Tiyana Dharmachakra monastery in Woodstock, NY.  He received a Ph.D. in Psychology from the Univ. of Florida and a Doctor of Acupuncture from the College of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture in Oxford, England. He is a licensed Acupuncture Physician and teaches Asian medicine, meditation and Tai Chi Chuan and has also completed the traditional three-year retreat in the Karma Kagyu Tradition. As a Westerner trained in these ancient healing arts, he bridges the gap between Eastern and Western philosophical approaches and provides a unique synthesis to health and healing.
